Mbala Mbala is the name of a project in Ngaliema, one of the 24 municipalities in Kinshasa, named after one of the last pieces of forest remaining in Kinshasa. The project slowly took shape since 2015. It began with some residents in the neighborhood Bumba joining hand to fight massive erosion problems in the neighborhood.

After having provides financial and technical support doe some years, a group of friends in Belgium founded the non-profit organization The Friends of Mbala Mbala.

On the site you will find information about the area, the problems in the neighborhood, what we do to address these problems, and how you can help us.
